Alison Dunshea

Alison has over 30 years’ experience working in population health and health promotion in greater western Sydney, and for the past eight years has merged this with new skills in city planning and street design. She is passionate about creating healthy places, people friendly streets and socially just neighbourhoods that enable all people to live their best healthiest lives.

Currently co-leading the development of a walking and cycling strategy for the Western Sydney Health Alliance, Alison works for the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District. She focuses on projects, partnerships and collaborations with councils, state agencies, and NGOs to build sustainable health and wellbeing outcomes into all levels of urban planning, design and delivery.
