Scott Taylor

My name is Scott, Iā€™m 35, and I live with cerebral palsy. When I was diagnosed at birth, my parents were told that I would never walk, talk, or write my own name. With the support of my family, I defied those odds and now live a life beyond my wildest imagination. I live independently, using wheelchairs and a walking frame, and am a passionate public speaker.

I have been a participant of the NDIS since 2013. Being a part of the NDIS has enable me to have greater access to the community which has improved my social and mental wellbeing, along side this I have also been able to start attending gym sessions which has allowed me to maintain not only my physical fitness but also a strong sense of independence which I believe is something which we all seek, because when we look after ourselves we are able to serve the community in the best way.
